About is the brainchild of Jon Stanton and John Kevan. The idea for the site burst into life when the word housebling popped up on the web on 8 December 2004.

Being fascinated observers of houses smothered in Christmas lights, they saw that the new word gave focus to the phenomenon, and that a website dedicated to houseblingers could give all these creative people the recognition and exposure they deserve.

Jon and John are of the firm belief that UK houseblinging is at its best in Essex.

Do they hear dissenting voices? Surely not. Talk back here.
